Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST)

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a form of assisted stretching that targets not only the muscles, but the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones and joints. FST targets the entire joint capsule, using traction and oscillation to remove restrictions from movement and to stimulate joint lubrication. FST is perfect for recovering from injuries, preventing injuries, increasing range of motion and creating a lengthened and free feeling throughout the whole body. FST is performed on a massage table and uses stabilization straps to secure the part of the body that is not being worked on. Clients typically wear comfortable, athletic type clothing. An FST session is customizable to each client depending on their needs and goals. An FST therapist and client work together during each session, moving in and out of stretches while focusing on breath and letting go. FST is a gentle yet deep approach to decreasing tension and increasing overall mobility.
